Killaloe, Lough Derg to Dingle / An Daingean / Daingean Uí Chúis (and
back)

Our 3rd Small Boat Rally of the year was held
on 12th July 2008

The RCAG Dublin Branch and IWAI Dublin Branch
held a Small Boat Rally at CONFEY
This will be a joint venture between Dublin branches of IWAI and RCAG
and all members of both bodies with "small boats" (inflatables, ribs,
dingys, canoes, open boats) are invited to attend. Members of boating
clubs are also welcome.
Venue; Confey Boathouse, Leixlip, Co Kildare. (directions below)
Trip; Confey to Twelfth Lock Hotel, ( M50 Blanchardstown
Roundabout) through Deep Sinking Sat 12th July 10am- 3pm ( followed by
Barbeque at Confey Boathouse). Bring your own food & drink..
Entry Fee; € 10 per boat
If you'd like to take part, please register your interest by joining our
Small-Boat Register.
Additionally, please download
and complete the entry form. We'll be in touch with you about this
and other similar outings.

IWAI Dublin Branch will hold a Small Boat Rally on the
Royal Canal from 12th Lock Blanchardstown to Shandon Gardens (Phibsborough)
through locks 11 through 7
on Sunday 9th November 2008
Assembly time 11.00
Place; Blanchardstown Aquaduct
(under M50 Blanchardstown Roundabout)
Route; M50 to Shandon Gardens (Lock 6)

NOTE that this event will be limited to small
RIBs, dinghies and similar boats. This part of the Royal Canal has
been little trafficed since Spencer Dock was temporarily closed in September
2004 - it is possible that difficulties may be
encountered with locks and the necessity to portage around them may arise.

Poolbeg Yacht & Boat Club South Bank Pigeon House Road, Ringsend, D4 @
8pm

presentation by Carmel Smith of the Dublin Docklands Development Agency
on the theme of "Recent Developments in Dublin's Docklands"
